Free American Flag Exchange, Hosted by McClain Insurance

McClain Insurance is hosting their tenth annual exchange this year. Bring your own in to their offices and exchange it for a new, American-made flag. Your own will be retired with dignity in a ceremony held by local Boy Scouts. See McClain's full press release below for details.

Exchange Your Worn Flag at McClain Insurance’s 10th Annual Exchange

Exchange your worn American flag for a new one at the McClain Insurance office June 4-8. All community members are invited to this free event, which is held annually in celebration of Flag Day. Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the U.S. flag by the Continental Congress in 1777.

“Our goal is to help Snohomish County residents showcase their American spirit this Flag Day and beyond,” said McClain Insurance owner Claudia McClain. “Our deepest thanks go out to those who serve and have fought in defense of our freedom.”

Flags will be exchanged June 4-8 from 8:30am to 5pm at the McClain Insurance office at 10410 19th Ave SE #100, Everett, directly south of Costco.

This is the 10th consecutive year McClain Insurance has exchanged worn flags for new, made in America flags. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 90% of American flags are imported. Retired flags will be respectfully retired in a ceremony held by local Boy Scouts.

Other ways you can participate:

-On June 14, display your American flag in celebration of Flag Day

-Help us spread the word. Share your flag pictures on social media with the hashtag #mcclainflagexchange
