Naval Station Everett is Changing Command

From Naval Station Everett's POI Kristin Ching:

Capt. Mike Davis will relieve Capt. Mark Lakamp as commanding officer of Naval Station Everett on June 22. The change of command ceremony will be attended by military personnel, federal civilian employees, and guests from the local community at the naval base.

Lakamp's next assignment will be as the commanding officer of Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps at the University of Nebraska.

Prior to arriving in Everett, Davis was stationed at the U.S. Pacific Command as the Deputy Division Chief for Space and Integrated Air and Missile Defense Division. His last ship command was the guided-missile frigate USS Rentz (FFG 46), where he served from 2011 to 2012.

He is a graduate of Jacksonville University, Florida, where he received his commission through the Seaman to Admiral program.

Naval Station Everett is home to six U.S. Navy homeported ships and two U.S. Coast Guard vessels. The base enhances the nation's ability to accomplish strategic objectives by supporting U.S. Naval and Coast Guard forces, while providing services to maintain readiness and quality of life for sailors, civilians, and their families.
