Reminder: Larimer Rd Will Be Closed Beginning 8/8

From the City of Everett: A large part of Larimer Road is going to be closed, likely for two weeks or longer. Suggested detour is linked within.

Drivers should plan for a closure of Larimer Road between the 7400 and 5900 blocks. The closure will begin Aug. 8 and will remain in place for more than two weeks.

Crews will close Larimer Road at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, to overlay the road. A detour route onto county roads will be in place; drivers are advised to allow an additional 10 minutes of travel time to reach their destination.

During the closure, crews will mill, grade and pave the road. The full road closure is necessary as there is not enough room for the work to be performed with a single-lane closure due to the narrowness of the road.

The work is expected to take at least two weeks, depending on weather conditions. The August overlay follows significant repair and maintenance work in July.
