The project team is developing and refining the new project design after encountering budget challenges with the preliminary preferred alternative.

The open house will take place at Hillcrest Elementary School from 6 to 8 pm. Wednesday, March 20. A short presentation will take place at 6:15 pm. and again at 7:15 pm. WSDOT staff will be on site at the event to discuss the new design with community members. Lake Stevens and the greater Snohomish County community are encouraged to attend.

About the SR 9/SR 204 Intersection Improvement project The intersection of state routes 9 and 204 in Lake Stevens experiences congestion that negatively affects drivers and businesses in Snohomish County. WSDOT is in the design phase of the intersection improvement project<http://wsdot.wa.gov/projects/sr9/sr204improvements/> that will improve traffic flow, increase ease of access to local businesses, and allow for more travel options like bicycles and public transit.

Date: Wednesday, March 20, 2019
